Alfredo Sauce

2 C (1 pint, 16 oz)

This is such a rich, decadent, and actually simple sauce to make. Once you make it, you will never buy jarred alfredo sauce again!

Ingredients


  • 1 stick butter

  • 1 ½ C heavy whipping cream

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced (3 tsp)

  • ½ t Italian seasoning

  • 1 t salt

  • ½ t freshly ground black pepper or to taste

  • 2 C freshly grated parmesan cheese


Preparation

  1. Into a large skillet or saute pan, melt butter and add cream over medium-low heat for 3 minutes.

  2. Add salt, pepper, garlic and Italian seasoning and stir well; cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  3. Off the heat, add the parmesan cheese, and stir well until melted and sauce is smooth. Taste for seasoning.

  4. Serve immediately over fettucine or your favorite pasta of choice.
