These can easily flip from being an easy weeknight dinner to being a tasty pickup appetizer at a cocktail party (there are about 36 shells in a 12-oz box)! You can also make them vegetarian by swapping out the meat for spinach or sauteed vegetables - very versatile!

Ingredients
1 (12-oz) package jumbo pasta shells
1 lb ground hamburger meat
1 lb sweet Italian sausage
1 medium onion, diced
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 T fresh parsley, chopped
1 t salt
1 T Italian seasoning
¼ t freshly ground black pepper
1 (28-oz) jar marinara sauce
2 C mozzarella cheese, shredded
Preparation
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook jumbo shells for 6 - 8 minutes until al dente; remove pasta from water and set aside to dry.
In a large skillet, brown ground beef and sausage (approximately 8 - 10 minutes). Drain off any excess grease, then add onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning and cook for 4 - 5 more minutes.
Preheat oven to 375° F and lightly grease a 9" x 13" casserole dish.
Spoon the meat mixture into each shell and place in the prepared dish. Pour the marinara sauce on top, then top with the mozzarella cheese.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
