This is a quick weeknight dinner that is always satisfying! Add your favorite protein, although ours tends to always be shrimp - grilled chicken works great also.

Ingredients
2 (12-oz) packages fettucine pasta
2 sticks butter (1 C)
2 C (1 pint) heavy whipping cream
1 t garlic powder
2 T + 1 t salt
1 t freshly ground black pepper
1 ½ C parmesan cheese, grated
8 C water
Preparation
In a large stockpot or Dutch oven, bring water and 2 T salt to a boil and cook fettucine noodles until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain water and set aside.
In a large pan, melt butter and add cream over medium low heat; add remaining 1 t salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese and cook for about 4 minutes until cheese has melted and sauce is smooth.
Pour alfredo sauce over pasta, stir well to combine, and serve.
