Pumpkin Pie

A holiday classic! In my opinion, this is best served with whipped topping.

Ingredients


  • 1 unbaked pie crust

  • 1 (15-oz) can pumpkin (approximately 2 C)

  • 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 t vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ t cinnamon

  • ½ t ground ginger

  • ½ t ground nutmeg

  • ½ t salt


Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F and lightly grease a 9" pie plate with butter. Place pie crust into pie plate.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt until everything is well combined. Pour into prepared pie crust.

  3. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350° F and bake for an additional 35 - 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
