This is a copycat version of Red Lobster® Cheddar Bay Biscuits that I have been making for almost 20 years now. We lovingly call these "floor biscuits" at our house because I dropped an entire pan of these on their way to oven and proceeded to cook them anyway!

Ingredients
2 C all-purpose flour
1 C grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 T baking powder
1 t salt
2 t garlic powder, divided
1 egg, beaten
2 t chopped parsley (dried or fresh)
⅔ C cold milk
⅔ stick of frozen butter, diced into small cubes
2 T melted butter
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cheese, baking powder, 1 t of the garlic powder, and salt and stir to combine.
Add frozen cubed butter, milk, and egg to flour mixture and stir only until combined and all dry ingredients are wet. Dough should be very sticky.
Using wet fingers, form dough into roughly the size of a golf ball and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. While baking, combine the melted butter, remaining 1 t of garlic powder, and parsley in a small bowl. Once the biscuits are out of the oven, brush the butter herb mixture generously over the biscuits while still warm and serve.
