Seven-Layer Mexican Dip

This is a great make-ahead appetizer that keeps great in the refrigerator. Perfect for summertime pool party gatherings too with plenty of tortilla chips!

Ingredients

  • 2 (15-oz) cans refried beans

  • 1 (8-oz) container guacamole (1 C)

  • 2 C sharp cheddar cheese, grated

  • 2 (8-oz) containers sour cream (2 C)

  • 1 (1-oz) package taco seasoning (3 T)

  • 1 (15-oz) Tostitos® chunky salsa

  • 4 green onions, sliced

  • 1 (2 ¼-oz) can sliced black olives





Preparation

  1. Layer 1: In the bottom of either a 9" x 13" casserole dish or a trifle dish (as pictured), spread the refried beans.

  2. Layer 2: Spread guacamole.

  3. Layer 3: Mix together sour cream and taco seasoning mix and spread on top.

  4. Layer 4: Pour salsa evenly over top.

  5. Layer 5: Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over top.

  6. Layer 6: Sprinkle green onions evenly over top.

  7. Layer 7: Sprinkle black olives evenly over top.

  8. Serve with plenty of tortilla chips! (NOTE: For additional kick, slice 2 jalapeno peppers into rounds and spread on top)
